People-to-People Encounter: An informal view of Bahamian hospitality and culture set up by the Nassau Ministry of Tourism. These programs give tourists opportunities to meet the locals.
One such opportunity is an Afternoon Tea hosted on the last Friday of every month at the Government House Ballroom from 4p-5p January through November. This is 'high-tea' in the British fashion, where proper attire is required to enjoy the scones, clotted cream, cucumber sandwiches and different types of tea. It’s a charming way to spend an afternoon and make some new friends. Reservations are required.

"The Road to Freedom": The history of slavery in the Islands of the Bahamas at 'Pompey Museum', Nassau.
